In consumers' mind, "McDonald's knows fashion." Especially for many new generation consumers, McDonald's in recent years has been one of the most fashionable and trendy fast food brands, even the only one. At the end of 2022, McDonald's again presents a new style of fashion, with 4 live fashion show series themed with "You cannot miss it Food Fashon Week". With McDonald's food flavor and fashion designer's color strength, it brings warmth, delicious food and fun to people's lives, especially in post-epidemic era.

 

 

 

 

With four classic chicken products as the core, McDonald's "You cannot miss it Food Fashon Week" dug deep into the connection between product features and current fashion trends to achieve emotional resonance with young consumers. We curated four themed fashion show series and invited Angus Chiang, an independent designer, to create four sets of extended peripheral product, which together created an unprecedented live show of food, fashion, music, dance and plot integration.

The first show started with a live house. The designer uses McDonald's most well-known red and yellow as the main color system, white and black as the collocation and embellishment, as well as the designer's humorous fun and street sports design language, to inject "ruthless" visual experience into the big show clothes. Chinese famous musician Da Zhang Wei came to the scene to bring the first big show to a climax, and presented his runway debut, while performing his new song "A Nice!" to inject rock soul into the show.







 

 

 


The second big show was inspired by "McDonald's plate roast chicken burger". The big show started from a Chinese round table in front of the pine trees. In order to reflect the delicious Chinese style, the designer extracted the verdure of fresh lettuce, the khaki of the grilled chicken steak and the white of the delicious and juicy mayonnaise as the main series of colors in the second show. Through the mesh fabric for large area of overlapping and pleating design, the designer realized the sense of elegant fairy in a Chinese aesthetic. Meanwhile,the show was more integrated into calligraphy, Jiujitsu and other performances, adding live entertainment and enjoyment.







 

 

 


The third show was inspired by the "McDonald's McSpicy chicken wings",starting with an exciting POPPING show performed by three hip-hop teenagers. The hanging device rises instantly and the McSpicy chicken wings are presented in an interesting and stunning way, with hip hop dance, skateboard, basketball, tennis jointly interpret the cool sense of fashion. The designer uses a combination of color blocks to contrast color collocation, with synthetic leather, Dupont kraft paper, extra thick corduroy and lamb wool fabrics,as well as the simulation modeling chicken wing accessories, creating a rich and diverse perspective of clothing.







 

 


The fourth show was inspired by "McDonald's Crispy Chicken Burger". The crispy taste and biting sound of each bite were like the beat of music, which made people dream back to the retro disco period in the 1980s. The designer created oversized ‘Crispy Chicken Burger warm earmuffs’ as a final styling accessory. With a retro sense of aesthetic, the designer also uses special sequins which could produce a unique sound while modeling walking as the main material for the show dress. The overall silhouette is based on the glove type sleeve clothes, with the skating clothes of the 80's, the ballroom style, all making the show had a strong retro vide.
