Now the well-known Japanese sportswear company, Mizuno, has collaborated with the famous artist Hajime Sorayama to create a special edition version of the 10th generation of Mizuno’s eye-catching Wave Prophecy sneaker. The collection 「WAVE PROPHECY SORAYAMA」droped in selected stores in China on February 6th, 2021.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The WAVE PROPHECY SORAYAMA collaboration has been designed to celebrate the 10th generation of WAVE PROPHECY with the iconic INFINITY WAVE, which brings together Mizuno’s structural technology as well as its unique and constant evolution.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hajime Sorayama, an illustrator armed with an astounding ability for realism, has become a legend in Japan and overseas for his works and for creating a genre known as “sexy robots”, which seek beauty in the human body and machines.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Wave Prophecy is one of the craziest-soled sneakers on the market, featuring Infinity Wave cushioning, which utilizes large air pockets to give the wearer the feeling of “walking on air.” The sneaker is wrapped in metallic silver in a nod to Sooretama’s sexy robots and features reflective detailing on the sole unit. The midsole has been made by incorporating translucent sole parts. The permeable resin upper features a silver MIZONO logo, while the heel has metallic silver parts. The SORAYAMA logo is located on the inside of the sole, and the double name on the insole is proof of SORAYAMA’s design.

I wanted to make something like that. Having a date today! Sneakers for special occasion!” Meanwhile, he mentioned, “ If our society gets advanced.
