GUESS has teamed up with emerging Chinese designer YUEQI QI to launch the collaborative series "Love·GUESS," which revisits retro aesthetics and blends them with new, innovative ideas. In the fashion context jointly created with designer YUEQI QI, the collection explores the brand's core themes of freedom, adventure, and boldness, showcasing the youthful and edgy personality of the new GUESS GIRL series.

 




GUESS has teamed up with emerging Chinese designer YUEQI QI to launch the collaborative series "Love·GUESS," which revisits retro aesthetics and blends them with new, innovative ideas. In the fashion context jointly created with designer YUEQI QI, the collection explores the brand's core themes of freedom, adventure, and boldness, showcasing the youthful and edgy personality of the new GUESS GIRL series.





In this collaboration, designer YUEQI QI retains the classic denim styles of GUESS from the 90s to the present, reshaping GUESS's sexy style through design techniques, craftsmanship, and an aesthetic preference for feminine sensuality and sunshine. This series revives the Y2K aesthetic core, capturing the vitality and classic imprints of the golden era of MTV music videos from the early 21st century. Features such as oversized pockets and trucker hats are prominent in this collaboration, integrating YUEQI QI's haute couture craftsmanship to reimagine the garments, organically blending retro trends with modern aesthetics.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As denim is a stylistic hallmark ingrained in the GUESS brand DNA, this collaboration brings a more avant-garde and fashionable innovation. Different denim pieces in various cuts and styles, highlighted by splicing and laser printing techniques, emit a more captivating and lively fashion charm, effortlessly switching between chic looks and reflecting a sharp pioneering attitude. Sparse pleats in different positions, clever transitions of heterogeneous splicing, and shifts in the focus of color contrast, all contribute to the fashionable splendor of GUESS denim items in the new series' diverse design language.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The GUESS X YUEQI QI collaboration series perfectly interprets the Y2K trend unique to GUESS, balancing fashion and practicality. The mutual integration of materials, colors, and details presents a unique texture, with highly recognizable heart-shaped cutout designs subtly revealing the quirky and dynamic qualities of women, infusing dreamy and colorful hues, creating a three-dimensional chic, capturing the heartbeat rhythm; the use of rivet elements transcends gender markers, conveying the tangible expression of women's vitality and confident, sunny traits.

Utilizing innovative bead weaving techniques, it interprets traditional and instinctual beliefs, infusing the romance and aesthetics of traditional Chinese elements into clothing, creating a distinct women's fashion design culture. The brand's unique style and texture are defined by exquisite craftsmanship and original woven fabrics. Haute couture embroidery and glass bead interweaving in bright, bold fabrics reflect the interplay of romance and absurdity within the brand's DNA.
