In the summer of 2019, RIMOWA announces Jackson Yee as its brand spokesperson of Greater China Region and launches the RIMOWA Essential collections with its classical suitcases in four new fresh colors. This marks the over 100 year ago brand will start its new chapter together with the young icon of GENERATION Z. The Essential collection was sold out soon on RIMOWA Tmall store on the day of launching.

The cooperation between RIMOVA and Jackson Yi is inspired by Jackson’s young, energetic personality and his passion to travelling around the world. Traveling with suitcase of RIMOWA Essential color collection is just like starting off a journey with Jackson. No matter what path to go and wherever destination to arrive at, only the inner experience and feeling true self that matters.

RIMOWA encourages travelers to experience a relaxing journey rather than just focusing on the final destination. Therefore, the Essential colors collection is inspired by the places where we travel: pink lakes in western Australia, tinted mineral surfaces in Indonesia, verdant stretches of sage in the lakes of northeast England, and endless canola fields in Tuscany. The four new colors are drawn from the four special coordinates of a bird's eye view of the earth. The coral color of west Australian pink lake sets off the romantic travel atmosphere, while the green color of sage on the lake of England is a collection of natural and dynamic colors. The Essential series makes people feel the exotic land that passes before their eyes but needs to be explored.
